Sangam is a book written by the Director of Ishar, Shobhana Chakrabarti, sponsored by the State Government's Office of Women's Policy; a project from the Women's Fellowship 2003 titled 'Women and Intercultural Leadership'. Sangam means "the meeting point of different rivers coming from diverse sources". In terms of culture, Sangam is about how people of different cultures come together and interact with each other. |

Key to Safe Sex

A community youth project conducted by Ishar and funded by the Communicable Disease Control Branch, Public Health Division of the Health Department of Western Australia. Ishar organised a group of young women to produce a mural that would enable them to express their feelings on sexuality, safe sex, relationships, contraception and the consequences of sexual risk taking. Cervical Cancer Screening Project

Guidelines to Organising Health & Leisure Camp

Conducted by Ishar and funded by Gordon Reid Foundation, Guidelines to Organising Health & Leisure Camp was a camp that aimed to provide health and leisure activities that would equip the participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes to deal with life in a positive way. The program included workshops, outdoor activities, excursions and relaxation that allowed the women involved with the project carry the theme of positivity. |

Music & Heritage CD |

A project funded by The Office of Citizenship and Multicultural Interests. The project aimed to encourage participation and cooperation between women from CaLD backgrounds and to provide a venue to share their pride and the richness of their culture with each other and the community at large. Women from 12 different cultural backgrounds came together to produce a CD which contains 11 traditional songs, 3 of which are original. The HON Sheila M. McHale, Minister for Community Development launched the CD at a Community concert held on the 18 th August 2001 at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre. |
