Ishar’s excellence in service delivery by skilled and qualified staff has resulted in the following individual and organisational awards:
2013 – Ishar was inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame.
2012 – Ishar was showcased as a ‘Best Practice Model’ for delivery of Settlement Grants Program services in a report prepared by the FECCA to the Federal Government.
2012 – Mrs Ruth Sims MSW, Coordinator of the Perinatal Support and Home Visiting Program, was named Employee of the Year in the WA Mental Health Commission “Good Outcomes” Awards.
2012 – Mrs Andrea Creado, Ishar CEO, was awarded ‘Woman of Achievement Award’ by Zonta International for her work with women in the community.
2011 – Ishar received a “Best Practice” award for its Community Kitchen Program, in partnership with City of Wanneroo.
2011 – Ishar was a finalist in the Healthways Innovative Practice Award for its Healthy lifestyles Program.
2010 – Ishar was a finalist in the WA Mental Health Commission “Good Outcomes” Awards for Service Provision.
2009 – Pave The Way – a pre-employment program for CaLD women, was recognised as a “Best Practice Model”.
2007 – Community Services Award for Innovative Service Delivery awarded by the Office of Multicultural Interests and presented by the Honourable Ljiljanna Ravlich MLC, Minister for Multicultural Interests and Citizenship.
2007 – Ishar was a finalist in Healthway’s recognition of excellence in health promotion for Healthier Lifestyle Choices for CaLD women.
1997 – Ishar was the winner of the Community Services Industry Award for services to children, young people, families and the community.
1995/1996 – Ishar provided information, services and support to about 6,000 women. In 2013, that number has increased to approximately 47,000 women from 87 cultural backgrounds.
