Financial wellbeing is central to our overall wellbeing, it affects the lives we lead and the choices we’re able to make
For women, financial wellbeing can be more challenging to achieve than for men. There are structural and systemic issues to contend with, like the gender wage gap, a superannuation system that provides greater benefits to full-time workers who don’t take parental or carer’s leave. As we strive towards a more equal and inclusive society, women’s long-term financial well-being can benefit enormously from women engaging with their finances and in particular CaLD women.
This event is in collaboration with CommBank. Ishar and CommBank recognise the importance of empowering women and we would love the opportunity to create awareness about some of the resources CommBank have created to support Women’s Financial Well-being and Financial Abuse awareness, particularly for CALD communities for front-line and case workers who deal with these issues on a daily basis.
Please come and join us for a session and morning tea hosted by:
Malini Raj, Head of Strategy, Multicultural Community Banking - Commonwealth Bank
Rehab Ahmed, Manager Carer Support Services– Ishar Multicultural Women’s Health Services
Following the session, we request the pleasure of your company for lunch and networking to continue dialogue about this important topic.
Please RSVP by August 28 for catering purposes.
